Rant 549 / Bike

My lovely army. I have a fantastic number of cavalry but I need more spearmen. This is how the units work:

Normal infantry - weak against archers, strong in siege offense
Spearmen - anti-cavalry, weak against archers
Archers - anti-infantry, weak against cavalry, strong in siege defence
Cavalry - strong against everything not on horses except spearmen, weak against spearmen, weak in sieges.

Rhodok has the best spearmen since it's the kingdom that specialise in infantry units. I should probably get rid of some Swadian Horsemen or something to make room.

This is supposed to be a photo of women training in the Japanese army. Probably WWII or earlier.

Are they wearing... short dresses?? Or are those loose blouses and shorts? And are those high heels?

I didn't even know you can fire rifles in that position. They probably have really strong abs. Maybe the way their right leg is bent allows them to use that leg to absorb the recoil too.

Holy frickin shit! Just watched the first episode of the second season of Trick of the Mind by Derren Brown. He was able to convince this guy that he really wanted a BMX bike without saying "BMX bike" once. The best part was that the show finally explained how the trick was done very clearly.

That guy couldn't even remember that he had wished for something else! He was so sure that he had wanted a BMX bike even before the filming began! Then he took out a piece of paper on which he had written several days ago what he wished for a birthday gift. He had written "leather jacket". He was so surprised he even scrutinized the handwriting to make sure it written by was his own hand.

Normal people like me would have never known that this is how the mind works. I'd never have suspected that subtle hints like those would work at all. He practically drowned his senses with words and shapes that no one would have consciously noticed.

The first season wasn't as amazing most likely because he never explained how he did what he did.
