My hammock arrived, but my plan failed.
It is now useless as a hammock, though I can still use it for other stuff.
Maybe as an exercise mat.
Or I'll just keep it somewhere till I feel generous enough to spend a hundred bucks on a hammock stand.
On the other hand, if I ever do that, I'd probably get a good hammock together with it too. Maybe.
That may not happen because I found out that I can actually buy hammock stands from the Chinese manufacturers. Surprisingly, some of them actually allows an order of single stand. Still, it's may or may not be significantly cheaper.
Almost bought a few bathroom racks from Qoo10 but decided not to.
Prices are comparable to similar products found at a hardware store in my area. Went to check them out just now to confirm the prices at the store, and the soap dish costs over S$7 while the largest bottle rack was about S$17.
Meanwhile on Qoo10, despite a promotional discount of S$1.10 for every product, the cheapest soap dish is still S$4.90 and the rack is over S$24, and there's still a delivery charge of S$4 for every 4 items or less.
Though the suction pads at the hardware store appear inferior, I think I'll chance it anyway. I could get a soap dish and a rack for about S$20 while the same would cost a minimum of around S$35 at Qoo10. That 75% price difference is worth the chance IMO.
The Japanese have been doing such videos since a long time ago, except they show everything. I guess the difference between modern art and porn is whether there is any room for imagination.
