Rant 517 / In The Mood For Some Techno?

Holy crap! Check out the song lyrics displayed by combining the words on his hands.

Daft Punk. Who doesn't like them anyway?

I like how these have a pretty clear sound quality for amateur videos.

A capella techno?

The coordination is perfect. There was either some editing or he had the timing perfect. More likely the former.

I didn't know the Mortal Kombat had anything to do with Nintendo.

XD

A fanmade trailer for Planescape: Torment. Looks decent enough, given the little he had to work with.

Makes me want to reinstall the game and try it for the second time. It is a very good game, but because of the way the story works, the magic is gone once you've seen the ending. Still, it's worth playing for the details in the rest of the game. I still didn't get one of the characters or develop my relationship with some of the companions.

This game does have one of the best, if not the best, plots I've ever seen. In addition, it deals with many mature philosophical ideas that modern games don't touch on, eg the question the entire plot revolves around: what can change the nature of a man? Makes you think and maybe even reconsider your philosophical foundation a little throughout the game.

(Warning: very gloomy music!)

Deionarra is probably the most tragic character in the game, so her theme music actually suits her perfectly. In the game, one will eventually find out the truth about her and be given the choice to tell her either the cruel truth or the even more cruel lie. No matter what the player does, she starts sad and ends the same way.

Well actually everyone the protagonist meets has a tragic story. Come to think of it, the game is actually pretty gloomy on the whole. Not many spots of bright sunshine and joy anywhere to be found. Then again, a good story doesn't need to be all happy and stuff.

The only constant source of comedy is Morte who follows you right from the beginning. Pretty amazing fighter for a floating skull and really knows what the say all the time. Probably the best buddy one can ever have... not.

Ending with main theme of the game.
